Class Projects
JMU’s College of Business offers incredible courses that provide real-world business and marketing experience. Through engaging projects and data focused objectives, I’ve gained valuable skills that have prepared me for the fast-paced world of business.

Integrated Marketing Communications
In the spring of 2024, I took Integrative Marketing Communications, a course that challenged me to develop a comprehensive marketing plan for REFI, an educational nonprofit. Working as part of a team, we conducted in-depth market and persona research, crafted measurable strategic goals, and designed a cohesive campaign to support REFI’s mission.
This experience gave me a deeper understanding of how different marketing components work together to create an effective strategy. I gained hands-on experience in bringing a brand’s message to life in a meaningful way.

COB 300 Business Plan
COB 300 is a defining course for JMU’s College of Business. Blending Marketing, Management, Finance, and Operations into one inclusive 12-credit hour semester. Working in a team of seven, we were tasked with developing a brand-new product and crafting a full-scale business plan from the ground up.
Our team, VisionSweep, created an innovative product which redesigned the bathroom mirror squeegee. From ideas to execution, we built a comprehensive plan covering everything from market segmentation and branding strategies to financial projections and operational logistics. This experience strengthened my ability to think critically across different business functions and showed me firsthand what it takes to turn an idea into a viable company.
